Mary-Ann is secretary-treasurer (and former president) of the MCWA. She is retired from the Red Deer Advocate, where she was a longtime reporter, editor, and columnist.

Derek serves on the executive of the CMG’s Ottawa location unit. He is a senior broadcast technologist at the CBC.

Hayley has been secretary of her Local since 2015. She is a digital editor at The Gazette in Montreal.

Jennifer is secretary-treasurer of the NBNG, and works as a reporter for the North Bay Nugget.

Jane, a longtime journalist with the CBC, began her term as national president of the Canadian Media Guild in January 2026.
